Job Duties & Responsibilities As a Lift Operations Team Lead you will be in charge of zone of the mountain and be accountable for the crews operating those lifts. You will teach new employees how to be Lift Operators and to provide quality customer service to fulfill our mission of delivering an experience of a lifetime for every guest. We have the best of everything here: Open from 9am until 10pm, with 6 lifts spinning at night, terrain parks, steep and jagged ridges, vast tree skiing and excellent backcountry access. Watch Winter at Stevens Pass, Patrol’s Helicopter Avy Mitigation, and subcribe to Stevens YouTube Channel Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to: * Supervise the Lead’s opening procedures, communication with dispatch, maintenance checks and daily lift logs. * Teach new hires how to safely use a variety of tools to sweep seats, shovel snow and rake ramps. * Train your team how to correctly set up mazes, fences, perimeters and signs. * Ensure teammates are tracking dispatch clearances and using designated routes to ski/ride to remote areas of the mountain. * Inventory tools and equipment and resupply logs, tissues, garbage bags, etc. * Write and deliver safety meetings and operational updates. Assist Day Supervisor with scheduling. * Recognize issues on the hill and at lift stations and make necessary corrections and delegations. * Ensure work breaks are being given on time to lift personnel in assigned zone. * Assist in department trainings and emergency lift evacuations as needed. * Assist the Manager and Supervisor with coaching, discipline and performance reviews. * Participate in leadership development classes and foster learning opportunities for the Leads. Qualifications: * Ability to meet qualifications and perform all responsibilities of a Lead Lift Operator. * Must be able to ski/snowboard at an advanced level. * Minimum 3 years of lift operations experience. * Valid driver’s license and clean DMV record for snowmobile operation. * Supervisory skills and innate leadership traits.
