Treatment Plant Operator I/II

There is one vacancy at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, and the position will be filled as either Operator I or Operator II, depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate. Open until filled, with a priority application date of 8 am, Jan. 19, 2021. The Treatment Plant Operator I is an entry level position and is responsible to perform routine operation, maintenance and repair work on all aspects of the wastewater pumping and wastewater treatment systems. Employees in this position exercise a limited amount of judgment and independence. The Treatment Plant Operator II is a mid-level position and is responsible to perform journey level operations, maintenance and repairs on all aspects of the wastewater pumping and wastewater treatment systems. Employees in this position receive a minimum of supervision and exercise a considerable amount of judgment and independence. Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, this position may coordinate one or more job assignments.
