This is a Contract position in Yakima, WA posted October 19, 2020.

ROLE SUMMARYUnder the broad direction of the Radiologist, the Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound examinations of specified anatomy as requested by an authorized, licensed Provider.

The Ultrasound Technologist is expected to perform a variety of ultrasound procedures with the knowledge and ability to obtain a diagnostic-quality sonogram on all ages and gender of patients.QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTSEducation: Graduate of an accredited program of Sonography or Radiologic Technology under the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) required.

12 month externship preferred.

Registry eligibility requiredExperience: 2-4 years of ultrasound experience preferredLicenses/Certificates/Registration: American Heart Association BLS required.Certification via the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in Physics required at time of hire.

Vascular registry (RVT), Abdomen and OB/GYN registry required within 12 months of hire.

Must be able to independently perform all exams and procedures in Ultrasound Department.If assigned to work at O’hana: Initial certification in Mammography Required.
