Job Number: 210384 Department: Central Pavilion 7 Hours: 7a-7pTheObservation Unit provides an area where patients who have been examined in the Emergency Department can be monitored, go through some additional testing and receive ongoing treatment. The goal of theObservation Unitis to provide immediate treatment for patients so they can go home to their families faster and begin the process of healing.The registered nurse provides high quality, skilled nursing services to assist patients to achieve optimum health and functional health status following an illness requiring hospitalization. Through collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals, the nurse prepares the patient and family for discharge to home or another setting for continued care.Virginia Mason has transformed health care through our innovations in patient safety and our ability to provide patients in our community with easier access to our high-quality care. Qualifications: Current WA State RN license required. 1 or more years recent acute care experience preferred. Telemetry or Critical Care Stepdown experiencepreferred.
