VP and General Manager (GM) of Cloud

This is a Full-time position in Auburn, WA posted February 3, 2021.

Description Position Overview:The VP and General Manager (GM) of Cloud within our partner and product management (PPM) organization will be a senior level strategic marketing leader that has a deep understanding of the cloud partner ecosystem.

You will be responsible for strategically positioning the organization to growth through setting cloud category and service level goals, strategies and associated business plans.As the VP and GM of Cloud, you will lead the PPM department to successful execution of go-to-market strategies, proactively managing executive partner relationships and partner programs, and developing strong relationships with Partner executives.You will lead a team consisting of a PPM Director, Category Managers, and Business Development resources, and provide coaching and development opportunities to enable your team to achieve cloud specific revenue growth and profitability objectives and other financial goals.

We need someone that can establish/improve cross-departmental relationships to drive efficiency and collaboration.Responsibilities will include:Utilize your expertise in cloud technology to develop cutting-edge, scalable, best in class solutions for our rapidly expanding business.

Solutions must be driven at the client segment level.Lead strategic cloud marketing initiatives including enablement.

This is particularly important given the positioning of our Cloud GTM will enable us to transform the business model and align to a more services-oriented business.Help lead and set the company’s cloud strategic direction, defining and articulating new opportunities, and working in close concert with executive leadership, technology teams, and various business teams to articulate specific goals.

Heavy partnership between Sales, PPM, Marketing, and Technologists.Develop new cloud-based solutions, and merchandising opportunities, on Zones cloud platformRegularly review and assess the cloud industry and landscape, looking for key trends, shifts in market leadership, and new disruptive cloud technologies.Develop, execute and support cloud pricing strategies based on value and performance at the client segment level.Create the cloud vision and articulate the short and long-term cloud GTM strategy ensuring alignment with the cloud roadmap and the company’s mission and vision of succeeding through differentiation and value differentiated across client segments.Own the delivery and clear messaging of strategy and goals to teams and ensuring timely delivery against them.Develop cloud talent and link business objectives to the team’s quarterly and annual goals aligned to profitability, margin, merchandising, and pricing.Define, prioritize and execute a flow of cloud enhancements and operational improvements designed to enhance revenue and margin.Own the KPI dashboard for cloud GTM inclusive of services
– including defining measures, setting goals, reporting on progress and recommending tactics to improve KPI’s.Meet with external clients and internal teams to solicit direct feedback on cloud GTM.Create and define sales enablement strategy to drive sales understanding of cloud GTM.

Must be consumable by the sales team to effectively sell into different client segments.Ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:Experience owning cloud GTM while increasing revenue and margin.

Review cloud margin performance and exceptions
– take appropriate action to maximize margins and attain goalsMust have specific domain experience in cloud and cloud services.

Experience preferred in Microsoft technologies.

Microsoft is our primary lead with partner.Should have scalability experienceDemonstrated track record in bringing multiple teams together and creating a strong, cohesive, and collaborative product organization united in one vision.Strong understanding of all facets of bringing cloud to market, including market analysis, cloud fit aligned to Zones, positioning strategy, go-to-market strategy, pricing, testing, iterating based on feedback, etc.Ability to connect effectively and constructively with clients and sales teams to understand and articulate marketplace needs, and to communicate our cloud and cloud service capabilities and differentiators.Proficient in the development of competitive assessments and positioning; cloud planning and cloud roadmap definition; sales training and presentations.Ability to weigh competing priorities, manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with stakeholders, driving to consensus while maintaining a clear focus on overarching cloud business prioritiesStrong ability to collaborate with C-level executives and work collaboratively with a driven leadership teamSuperior communication skills, including the ability to crystallize and broadly socialize insights into stakeholder needs that the stakeholders themselves may not be effectively articulateExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills when determining how to best solve market challenges.10+ years of experience in a management roleBachelors’ degree required with an advanced degree preferredAs a rapidly growing global provider of IT solutions, we’ve expanded from Seattle to Sydney and beyond
