VIA is a strategic architectural and planning firm, highly networked across offices in Vancouver, Seattle, and San Francisco Bay Area regions. Our studios focus on designing, delivering and advising our clients on how to achieve the highest quality urban infrastructure – from the streets, bridges and transit systems that connect us, to the buildings and spaces between. Our systems-level sustainable design strategies and community-based design studio set us apart from traditional architectural practice.

We are currently seeking candidates for Architectural Design and Production based in our downtown Oakland CA office. This position would work on a variety of public projects, designing elements of civic infrastructure, including transit stations, corridors, bridges and their related elements.

Experience Requirements

– 1 – 5 years of experience in an architecture or urban design office

– Diploma or certificate from a technical college at a minimum, Bachelors or Masters preferred

Key Skills

– Fluency in 3D modeling and parametric design; Rhinoceros 3D and grasshopper, Revit and Dynamo

– Skill and interest in architectural design detailing and documentation.

– High quality renderings and visualization; Enscape, Lumion, and other programs

– Comfortable working with extended consultant teams in workshop settings

– Dedicated team player, clear communicator, possessing an interested in participating in the execution of politically, technically or operationally complex projects

Salary
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
