We are hiring for a energetic PT Cook.

Vashon Community Care, a not-for-profit assisted living community seeking part-time cook who is caring and customer service oriented.

In a typical day you will:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Create nutritious and appetizing meals for seniors

· Exemplifies, at all times, community standards of cleanliness, sanitation and operational organization.

· Adheres to food quality, appearance and presentation standards at all times.

· Produces and serves menu cycle programs.

· Exhibits cooking standards of speed, accuracy, and efficiency.

· Demonstrates knowledge in all areas of cooking preparation and production.

· Represents the community in a warm, friendly and inviting manner.

Job Qualifications & Skills

· Must be 18 years or older

· Hold a high school diploma or equivalent

· Dedicated people who love seniors!

· Have the ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions

· Has effective written and verbal skills to complete responsibilities of the position

· Is a self-starter

· English speaking to communicate with residents and staff

· Current authorization to work in the US

· Criminal background and drug test will be required upon a contingent offer of employment.

· Current Food Handlers Card
