Alderbrook Resort & Spa: Guest Service Agent – Starting At $15/Hour

This is a Full-time position in Belfair, WA posted July 29, 2021.

Description:GENERAL SUMMARY:This is a seasonal position with expected duration through September/October.Responsible for operating the Front Desk of the Resort during designated shifts, and ensuring a quality guest and employee experience in a courteous and efficient manner.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Process guest registration, reservation and departure courteously and accurately.Ensure all VIP and arriving guest information is accurate and complete and that appropriate rooms are blocked.Book guest reservations when procedure warrants itEnsure follow-through and communication from shift to shift regarding any pertinent information or guest request.Handle any guest compliments or complaints and take action deemed necessary.All other duties as assigned by Front Desk Supervisor, Front Office Manager, Rooms Manager and General Manager.Maintains a clean lobby and front desk stations area as defined by Alderbrook Resort and Spa PoliciesProcesses Gift Shop purchases when Gift Shop Attendant is not presentHandles, stores, labels guest luggage and equipment.Other duties as assigned.

Able to speak, read and write EnglishWork habits: Ability to work independently, autonomously and without supervision, while also able to follow written and verbal instructions when necessary.

Able to work long hours and overtime if necessary.

Team-oriented.Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimalsEDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years guest/customer contact experience, 1-2 years hotel experience, and be able to type at least 40 wpm.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, and push up to 80 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
