Summary:
In collaboration with Summa Laboratories, directs the day to day operation of the LabCare Plus Outreach including, Patient Service Centers, Customer Service, Couriers, Marketing and Sales.

Manages staff with goals of continuous improvement, growth and evaluation.

Adapts to demands of the changing market, continuous changes in federal and regulatory compliance requirements and the intense competition. 

• Leverage expertise to lead, build and maintain a first-class Outreach Program that addresses regulatory requirements for Clinical Laboratories and Lab Care Plus.

• Serves as liaison to the Medical Staff, mediates inter and intra departmental problems, seeks equitable solutions.

Evaluates and resolves customer complaints and problems.

Consults with Department Chairs regarding sensitive and unusual problems or solutions

• Represents the department and hospital with regulatory agencies, at a variety of committees, system improvement groups, medical staff, seminars and conferences related to Laboratory Services.

 
Minimum Qualifications:
Formal Education Required:
-Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, Business or related field.
-Master’s Degree in Business, Health Care Administration or related field preferred.
-ASCP certification as MT, CT, or HTL preferred.
Experience and Training Required:
-Seven (7) years of related professional experience to include experience in a leadership role.

-Experience in a complex health system preferred.
Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
-Excellent communication: effective written, verbal and nonverbal skills
-Ability to work, communicate and make sound decisions under pressure and in stressful situations
-Knowledge of Laboratory billing compliance issues
-Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with patients/customers with the understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity
Level of Physical Demands:
Sedentary: Exerts up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently
