Its mission is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.QUALIFICATIONS:* The ability to communicate with and take direction of the Supervisor or Manager.* Able to operate Point of Sale Equipment.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:* Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.* Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling clothing racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks and carts, hand trucks and miscellaneous carts.* Ability to operate a telephone* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs* Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasksDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:I. Sell merchandise in accordance with Salvation Army policy2. Perform duties as assigned by Store Manager:a) Stockingb) Running POSc) Cleaningd) Marking downe) Ragging out3. Maintain good customer relations and give prompt, courteous assistance to customers.4. Is aware of Salvation Army store policies along with new directives.5. Assists in the maintenance of the store to keep it in order as to maintain clientele and attract new customers.6. Maintains assigned department within the store.7. Assures that safety measures are established and maintained consistent with ARC policy and governmental regulations and that hazards are reported to the Administrator.8. Maintain confidentiality as needed and required for the operation of the total program.9. Overtime: Any and all overtime must have the written approval of the supervisor. The supervisor’s initials must appear on the timecard besides the overtime hours, or overtime will not be paid.10.
