Surveyor II/III

This is a Full-time position in spokane, wa posted March 31, 2021.

SURVEYORII/III Parametrix,a leading engineering, planning, environmental sciences and construction management firm, is seeking a SURVEYOR II/III to join ourIntermountain region and be based out of our Spokane, Washington or Coeur d’Alene, Idahooffice location.

Due to COVID we are working in the field or remotely from home.

We have practices in place to help keep you safe during COVID and have adapted to continue successfully delivering projects throughout this time.

We also have state of the art survey equipment and like to stay on the forefront of the industry.

We have a talented group of professionals with diverse technical skills and a focus on mentorship and staff development.

WHO YOU ARE: Professional:LSIT or applicable experience level (CST level II or III)looking for a position which combines office and field work and provides daily support to our professional surveyors.

Your project experience includes roadway and interchange improvements, boundary work, subsurface utility networks, construction layout, and topographic and feature mapping.

Applicants currently working at this level or who have the ability to grow into this position are encouraged to apply.

Experienced: You will have a solid understanding of workflow for checking and processing field notes, CAD drafting skills; specifically, you have experience with planimetrics and surfaces, construction calculations, and the ability to draft a variety of mapping deliverables either independently or under direction.

You are familiar with horizontal and vertical datums, have knowledge researching sources for control monumentation and property records, and experience evaluating construction plans for site and building improvements.

Understanding AutoCAD/Civil 3D is highly desirable and MicroStation experience is a plus.

In the field you can work independently or with oversight to complete control networks, topographic surveys, construction staking, level loops, monument recovery, and as-built surveys.

You will be organized with the ability to understand scopes, plan daily field work, take field notes and complete projects within budget.

Leica equipment and both office and field software experience is a plus.

Relationship & Communication Focused:Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative approach, team player and you thrive on developing rapport with others to produce a quality product.

The successful candidate must be team oriented, have excellent verbal and written communication skills and have a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

Work ethic:The Survey team works hard and is looking for someone who enjoys working in both field and office environments as needed.

You are self-motivated and desire for growth in the survey profession.

You can work as a 1-person crew, but also thrive in a team environment.
