Telecom Foreman – Ephrata, WA

DescriptionSummary:The Foreman is responsible for completion of underground/aerial construction related activities while ensuring compliance with all code and safety regulations.Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):+ Work with crew to ensure that all construction operations are completed in accordance with customer and industry specifications+ Ensure highest level of safety and quality control requirements are upheld+ Instruct and follow of all OSHA and Company Fall Safety procedures+ Responsible as the crew leader for proper, accurate and timely submission of dailies and production reportsJob Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (include but are not limited to ):+ 1-3 years prior experience in construction, cable, telecommunications or related industries; leadership experience preferred+ Able to perform the physical tasks required in this position for the entire assigned shift.+ Ability to operate various types of trucks and equipment+ Drive and/or operate diesel or gasoline powered equipment to/from/on jobsite (CDL preferred)+ Maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations and policies+ Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, etc.

in the accomplishments of North Sky’s goalsEssential Physical Requirements include:+ Climb into and out of equipment (trucks, cars, backhoes, trenchers, etc.)+ Operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery+ Repetitive motion with hand, wrist, feet, head, and shoulder+ Work in congested or remote areas+ Work while standing or sitting for several hours at a time+ Must be able to work in small/sometimes confined areas+ Must be able to work in variable heights/depths+ Must be able to lift/carry up to 50+ pounds+ Reach, bend and stoop while performing work+ Maintain visual and audible contact with other crewman and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement+ Work while wearing safety boots, safety glasses and hardhat+ Work in extreme weather conditions depending on geographical location (below freezing to over 100 degrees and in very windy conditions)Hours/Schedules are determined based on Region and Customer Needs and in compliance with any regulations; on average – must be able to perform the above for at least 8 hours per day 5 days per week.

Weekend work/Overtime is dependent on Work Load.
