Job Description POSITION: Department: Business ServicesReports to: ControllerFLSA Status: Non-ExemptPURPOSE: The assists the Controller and Chief Administrative Officer with the agency?s financial functions and accounting duties.NATURE AND SCOPE: The Business Services Team supports and works collaboratively with Program andFund Development staff to assure the highest quality service to families, child care providers, and the community.

It is our goal to develop and sustain the services and infrastructure that most effectively support the people, mission, and goals of Child Care Resources.

The assists with accounting activities and frequently interacts with both our internal and external community, focusing on meeting the individual needs of each customer.ACCOUNTING RESPONSIBILITIES: * Oversee weekly accounts payable process and ensures all files, ledgers and registers are maintained.* Reconciles timesheet and payroll processing for accurate recording, payment and accrual of payroll for the agency.* Reviews payroll tax reports and accruals for the agency.* Prepares and reviews 1095-C, 1099?s W-2?s before submitting to IRS.* Maintains the vacation/sick leave accrual for the agency and all other benefit options.* Maintains agency cost center and allocation table for AP indirect operating cost.* Prepares the Cash Receipt entries for the monthly financial statements on a scheduled basis.* Prepares and maintains all balance sheet reconciliation schedules and accruals.* Preparation of schedules during annual audit and audit from contractor or funders.* Preparation of budget entries during annual budget process.* Monitors the aging of receivables to ensure timely payment by contractors; and notifies the Controller of any accounts past thirty days.* Prepare contract monthly, quarter billing and financial reports as needed.POSITION REQUIREMENTSSix years experience in accounting and fund accounting; or an Associate degree in accounting with four years related experience; or a Bachelor of Arts or Science in accounting or business and two years relatedexperience; or a Masters degree in Business Administration and one year related experience.
