The Delivery Driver is responsible for driving a propane delivery truck and filling tanks for residential, commercial and industrial customers at their site. The Delivery Driver will provide superior service by adhering to safety and customer service standards, to ensure the best experience for our valued customers. Come what may- rain, snow, or a hot and sunny day, ThompsonGas delivers to ensure comfort and peace of mind for our customers.

Job Details:

• Load, secure, transport, deliver, and unload propane to specified destinations
• Provide exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering customer questions
• Other duties as assigned. (During warmer months this may include painting, maintenance, installing tank monitors, etc.)
• Schedule: M-F, flexible AM start time, workday wraps up when all assigned deliveries/tasks are complete; Home every night!

Job and Physical Requirements:

• Flexible AND able to work an on call 24/7, rotation schedule as assigned (This includes nights/weekends)
• Willing AND able to work overtime when required. (Typically, the work week is 40 hours, but during the colder months drivers may be out an average of 50-60+ hours)
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and driving conditions
• Able to frequently bend, pull, push and lift 50-75 lbs.

Safety Expectations:

• Inspect vehicle/equipment and notify manager of maintenance and supply needs promptly
• Proactively identify and report safety concerns and/or violations at the branch or customer sites
• Complete leak tests and documentation

What you bring to us:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous driving experience; propane industry experience is a plus
• Valid Class A or B CDL License or willing to obtain
• Valid Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements or able to obtain within 60 days of hire
• Ability to pass background check and DOT physical/drug screen
• Clean MVR
