JOB SUMMARYResponsible for the implementation of the overall sales and marketing plans for all Caterpillar dealers in the assigned region , including branch operations.

Participate in and coordinate the execution of sales objectives, strategies and policies.

Develop and prepare strategic business plans with Caterpillar Dealer Principals/Management .

Deliver presentations to Dealer Principals/Management .

Compile and maintain short-term and annual sales forecasts.

hOW YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCEMaintain complete Business Planning Document for account (Sales function).Provide input that helps direct market development, sales promotion, distribution and pricing policies, which are integral to successful market penetration (Marketing function).Analyze and report market trends, potentials and sales forecasts.Recommend changes, additions, improvements or deletions for assigned products in line with JLG’s product life cycle management.Work with sales team in further developing existing and new user account s.Responsible for the training of distributor and/or rental company sales and office staff on JLG products.Maintain effective working relationships with all account principals to assure commitment and aggressive pursuit of sales for JLG products.Recommend any changes and additions in distribution.Continually provide and document competitive activity and information.Achieve sales targets for assigned accounts.Maintain ongoing communication with Equipment Services, Access Financial Services, and Customer Support Group.Develop information for JLG Management needed for any required report.Prepare other reports as required on a timely basis and document minutes of all important meeting with assigned distributors.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOUCaterpillar experience (Dealership preferred, corporate acceptable).Bachelor’s degree in related field10-plus years related experience WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUTKnowledge of the Rental Equipment IndustryPrior experience calling on dealer principalsRecent responsibility for a minimum of 20 to 25 accountsStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPointAbility to travel 50 to 75% *USA100 Oshkosh is committed to working with and offering reasonable accommodation to job applicants with disabilities.
