– Project on Prosperity and Development n nnResearch Programs & Projectsnn nn Washington, DC nn nn ID: 881-233 nn nn Full-Time/Regular nn nn nThe Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) is a non-profit, bipartisan public policy organization established in 1962 to provide strategic insights and practical policy solutions to decisionmakers concerned with global security and prosperity.

Over the years, it has grown to be one of the largest organizations of its kind, with a staff of some 200 employees, including more than 120 analysts working to address the changing dynamics of international security across the globe.nn nn JOB SUMMARY: nn nnThe primary purpose of this position is to support all daily administrative aspects of the program and to assist the Director of the program in all administrative needs.

Responsibilities cross all program components, including project management and oversight, direct supervision of personnel, budget, and written and verbal external and internal correspondences.

You will report directly to the Senior VP and Director of PPD, Daniel F.

Runde.nn nn ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: nn nn nEssential functions may include, but are not limited to the following:nn nn
• Reviews all internal and external written correspondence coming from the Directorn
• Manages business development pipeline for the programn
• Manages program’s overall budget and ensures expenses are in line with projections; creates budgets for proposals and oversees adherence to existing project budgetsn
• Directly supervises five (5) full-time junior personnel (Program Coordinators, Research Assistants, and Research Associates)n
• Other administrative tasks as needednn nn KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE: nn nn
• B.A./B.S degree required; MA preferredn
• Minimum 8-10 years relevant professional experiencen
• Minimum 3 years direct management experiencen
• Ability to work closely with a range of individuals with diverse interests, backgrounds and dispositionsn
• Sound judgment and the ability to operate with discretion and flexibility is essential n
• Ability to project a professional image to the public, co-workers, trustees, and CSIS clientsnn nn PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK CONDITIONS: nn nnThe physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee working in an office environment.
