Community Development Director

n n nn The City of Algona, Iowa (Pop.

5,560) is seeking a Community Development Director that is a proactive visionary who thinks globally, sees the “big picture” and serves as the salesperson for the City of Algona.

The Community Development Director will be the main point of contact for all economic development inquiries and initiatives; identify and market development opportunities; manage the city’s housing and business revolving loan fund programs; and coordinate city communication via newsletters, website and social media accounts.

The Director will work closely with other city departments and manage special projects focused on improving quality of life amenities in the community.

The Director will also work closely with Algona Area Economic Development Corporation (AAEDC) and the Algona Chamber of Commerce in promoting the business and economic development interests within the Algona community.
