Its a singular orchestration platform across the company for our customers to engage with Dell Technologies. We are looking for a consultant to join our SRE team for APEX offers. We are looking for someone who believes if you build it, you run it; automate every task possible; and keeps the operational load down to allow for development time.If you want to join the ground-floor of a massive transformational effort and feel excited by the opportunity to be part of a generational transformation for ourselves, and our customers this role may be just the right opportunity for youYou will:Be part of the team accountable for health of Dell Technologies APEX offer including 24/7 monitoring, incident management, and securityDevelop tools to identify reliability risks, monitor application growth, and triage production issuesCoordinate with infrastructure and platform teams on regular maintenance, improve availability, scalability, and performance of the environment.Respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and drive change management to prevent a recurrenceParticipate in on-call support with Engineering, Infrastructure, and platform teams during outage or maintenance activityActively engage with internal teams to develop tooling, framework to drive full observability and automation of the environment.Provide feedback into product and development teams for service stability and reliability featuresWork in a highly collaborative and dynamic environment with cross-functional teams and business groupsIdentify opportunities for service improvements, mentor junior team members, interface with leadershipEssential Requirements10 years of related experience with a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, or 6 years with a Masters degree; or equivalent work experienceStrong understanding of SRE principles and operational practices, SLOs and error budgetsExperience in performance optimization and troubleshooting large scale distributed systemsExperience deploying Cloud Native systems built on Micro Services architectures utilizing Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD Tools such as Jenkins, Git, ArtifactoryStrong programming and scripting skills utilizing languages such as Python, Golang and IaaC automation tools such as Ansible or TerraformExperience working with Database Systems such as Postgres, Cassandra, Redis, MongoDB, SQL, Oracle, SAPExperience with REST APIs and messaging systems like MQTT, RabbitMQ, KafkaFamiliarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, Google GCPDesired RequirementsExperience with the VMware vSphere suite of products such as ESXi, VSAN, NSX, vRealize, vROps, Hyper-v and KVMManaging Datacenter compute environments containing Dell EMC PowerEdge Servers, and management tools such as iDRAC, OME, Redfish, PowerToolsExposure to Data Center L2/L3 Network environments, VLANs, Routing/ Switching protocols such as BGP and OSPF, Leaf/Spine Designs, SDN, Load Balancing, NAT, ManagementExpertise with Multi-Protocol Storage Systems, Management and Automation with QOS, Data Services such as Encryption, Data Reduction, Snapshots, ReplicationOperational knowledge of Storage Area Networks such a Cisco MDS, Brocade, FibreChannel iSCSIUnderstanding of engineered Converged/Hyper Converged Infrastructure systems like VxRailExposure to Cloud Computing in Private, Hybrid and Public CloudsUnderstanding of Securing environments using Firewalls, TLS, RBAC, Authentication, Password Vault, CertificatesCloudBULIPriorityTake the first step towards your dream careerEvery Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table.If you feel you have the experience, technical capabilities and leadership skills to reimagine SRE function for the industry and build these ground-breaking capabilities for Dell Technologies come talk to us.
