Job Description/requirements: Description: Directs and coordinates through project management staff and though direct participation, the efforts of the project management team with the objective of delivering projects on time and customer satisfaction is achieved.

Projects range from aftermarket projects, core machinery, custom machinery cells, and systems.The Director ensuring that cost budgets are properly established and met, and that project specifications are properly defined and met.

Responsibilities: Manages and leads project management staff in hiring, terminating, compensation, and performance evaluation.

Responsible for identifying performance metrics, coaching, training needs, and motivating direct reports.

Provide employees professional growth through assignment, mentoring, or training.

Provide training and direction for Project Managers to support successful customer experiences.

Directs all phases of project management including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closeout phases of the project.

Key focus areas include scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk management.

Define project methodology and milestones for projects.

Schedule, assign, and manage the employees’ project assignments.

Monitor appropriate staffing level including Project Management contractors.

Participate in the role as a Senior Project Manager as required for projects.

Drive actions and accountability for directives initiated from the Chief Operations Officer (COO).

Generate and deliver weekly project status reports to the COO.

Plan and manage the department’s budget.

Approve expenditures or budget transfers.

Participate as a member of the Leadership Team.

Skills & Experience: Expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing company.

Decisions made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve complex results.

Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and customers to take desired action.

Demonstrated ability to provide sound judgment and the ability to lead and organize cross-functional meetings, and people in a professional manner.

Innate capability to create order out of chaos in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, fluid environment with ever
– changing priorities.

B.S.

Degree or equivalent experience in a Project Management, Business, or Engineering field.

Working knowledge of project methodologies.

PMP certification and/or ongoing PMP education.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in in a leadership role within the Project Management, Business or Engineering related field.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Project, and MS Office Suite.

Experience in application and use of CAD and ERP systems desirable.
