Director of Product Management – Application Performance Management (APM)

Learn more about Splunk careers and how you can become a part of our journey!As Director PM at Splunk, you will drive the product strategy and roadmap to provide industry-leading observability for hybrid cloud-based applications
– deployed either as distributed services using Kubernetes/Containers daily/weekly or monolithic apps deployed using VMs monthly/quarterly.

As the PM leader responsible for this critical product area, you will lead a team of PMs focused on observability for cloud-based applications and will need to thrive in a very cross-functional and collaborative environment working with product and engineering leadership, as well as all the go-to-market functions to scale and further differentiate Splunk’s next-gen APM solution.Key Responsibilities+ Deeply understand our key personas
– Developers/Service Owners, DevOps/SRE, Cloud Platform Teams
– and drive product roadmap with a strategic vision for Splunk’s APM Solution to constantly innovate and implement novel functionality+ Actively maintain a view of how the market, competition and technologies are evolving, and factor it, as well as feedback from internal groups and customers, into product direction+ Lead, inspire and mentor a team of high-performing PMs and cross-functional teams to translate product direction into clear priorities and deliver high-impact, innovative products+ Evaluate new growth opportunities such as specific product and GTM opportunities; and lead cross-functional teams to execute+ Partner with with GTM teams
– product marketing, support and sales
– to solve for business limiters and pursue key business accelerantsQualifications+ Demonstrated ability to launch industry defining/altering products from scratch (zero to one) and scaling products with P-M fit to multi-million dollar product lines (one to hundred) + Track-record of building and leading high performing PM teams that have achieved audacious goals+ Excellent analytical / problem-solving skills; with the ability to identify patterns and synthesize disparate data into a coherent whole by gleaning user/customer insights from quantitative and qualitative data+ Bias-to-action, willing to do whatever it takes to get quality products and features to market on time with a strong design aesthetic and a passion for usability and simplicity+ Strong written and verbal organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Ability to lead and influence via persuasion, patience and energy+ Background in enterprise SaaS; bonus if those were Cloud Applications, IaaS, Monitoring or Data Analytics products+ 7+ years of experience in product management and 3+ years leading product teams+ Undergraduate degree (M.S preferred) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar quantitative field + MBA from top-tier programIf you’d like to join one of the fastest growing and most exciting tech companies in the Silicon Valley, contact us!
