A well-respected and heavily awarded, not-for-profit hospital in gorgeous and picturesque Western Washington is actively seeking a tenured and experienced Director for their Rehabilitation Unit.
The Director of Rehabilitation Services will be part of a non-profit Medical Center that is home to the South Sound’s largest heart and vascular center, a Level II Trauma Center and other advanced programs including robotic surgery, Gamma Knife, “Joint Camp” for joint replacement, and one of the largest hospital-based nephrology (kidney care) programs on the West Coast.
The Rehabilitation Services Director will oversee all acute care nursing and ancillary staff in the department. The Director of Rehabilitation Care will implement evidence-based practice, supervise staff, adjust policies and procedures as needed, and be a source for guidance for all rehab-associated departments. This unit hosts 30 luxury suites.
The Director of Rehabilitation will be initially tasked with positioning the acute inpatient rehabilitation program for considerable growth given the recent expansion of the organization. The Director of Physical Therapy Rehabilitation must demonstrate patient-centered, innovative and growth-oriented leadership qualities and a strong ability to accomplish goals through the direct involvement of others.
The Rehabilitation Unit Director will be supported by Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Nurse Manager, Charge Nurses, Nursing, and Ancillary staff. The Director of Rehabilitation Department will report directly to the Vice President of Ambulatory Services and will collaborate with other Directors in the hospital. The Rehabilitation Department Director will join a hospital that is known for it’s specialized medical services and community outreach programs.
