Altasciences helps sponsors get better drugs to the people who need them, faster.Manages all aspects of facility operations, equipment and services.

Oversees multi-trades workforce engaged in operations, maintenance, cafeteria, security, and housekeeping duties.

Directly participates in overall facility management.Responsibilities: Oversees and participates in the activities of facilities associates and contract personnel, monitors and inspects work to ensure adherence to contract specifications and industry standards.

Develop building qualifications and ensure all renovation and new construction are properly documented to meet GLP building requirements.

Evaluates and participates in preventive maintenance programs, modifies programs to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Oversees the development and implementation of the physical plant, security, safety, and disaster recovery programs, procedures, and operations for the facility.

Respond to emergency calls associated with malfunctioning equipment or building systems, as required, coordination the work of other Facilities Associates.Qualifications: High school or General Education Degree (GED) and journey-level experience in the following skilled trades, including experience in heating and air-conditioning systems, mechanical, general building construction and electrical systems in a research or industrial environment.

Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.

Previous supervisory experience in the area of facilities management and construction processes is desired.

Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and Facility Ticket Program Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, software manuals, study documents, and procedure manuals; the ability to write routine reports and correspondence; the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Demonstrated knowledge and application of math, algebra, and geometry skills as required and related to the construction and equipment process.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables; the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form; and the ability to demonstrate attention to detail.

Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as high temperature and humidity, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.

Light to moderate physical effort.

Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.

Construction and Equipment Management experience preferred Ability to work indoor and outdoor Handles and disposes biological and/or chemical substances and wastes in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.

Wears appropriate PPE in accordance with policies and procedures.

PPE may include but is not limited to: N-95 respirator, face mask, safety glasses, goggles, face shield, gloves, lab coat, scrubs, shoe covers, hair bouffant, hearing protection, and hard hat.
