Determines equipment, material and staff needed to complete the work.Assigns tasks to a variety of skilled and semi-skilled employees in the General Maintenance Series Classification. Tasks may include, but are not limited to: welding, pipe-fitting, plumbing, irrigation, masonry, electrical, carpentry, controllers, moisture sensors and remote valves, flush valves, water and sewer lines, drinking fountains, pumps and automatic valves, electrical circuits, lighting fixtures and restroom fixtures.Coordinates a variety of fabrication, installation and repairs tasks on damaged plaster, asphalt and concrete surfaces, brick, tile and blocks, metal gates, flooring and supports, benches, overhead structures, roofs, door frames, tables and other structures.Inspects facilities to determine the need for repair or maintenance and coordinates or directs needed repairs.Completes and keeps records of job order assignments and follow up on service of equipment.Participation in the Performance Evaluation Program is required.
