This is a Full-time position in Vancouver, WA posted May 10, 2022.

Kenji’s Ramen & Grill is currently hiring for the position of Kitchen Manager/Head Chef at our only location which is in Vancouver WA location. We have been around for 5 years and considered one of the best & busiest ramen restaurants in the area. We are are planning to expand with a brand new kitchen and added menu within a year and are looking for the right person to help us lead the way. The owners can’t be there all the time but are very supportive and communicate well.

We are looking for an individual who will be an immediate asset to our team- bringing talent, enthusiasm, passion and dedication for continual achievement and humble improvement, leading by example and striving for personal advancement, supporting and developing fellow team members, exceeding company expectations and goals, and crafting memorable guest experiences each and every day. Japanese or Asian food experience would be helpful.

Our Kitchen Manager is responsible for supporting all aspects of kitchen operations, as well as communicating with the owners on a regular basis.

Some of the duties would be, Scheduling, managing Inventory, working the line with staff to maintain consistency, training and hiring new kitchen staff, being a leader and communicating well with the FOH manager and owners.  Having meetings with staff to communicate issues and improving operations. Helping create new recipes, items and specials for the Menu. Working with the owners on pricing and marketing of new items. Setting up systems for recipes to maintain consistency, food plating and portion control. Keeping labor efficient compared to sales. Ensuring the Kitchen is clean and organized and that we can pass all Health inspections.

Qualifications: — Minimum 3 years of kitchen management experience in a full-service, fast-paced, physically demanding, high-volume restaurant — Flexibility and ability to work extended or irregular hours to include nights, weekends and holidays. — Extensive knowledge and understanding of scheduling and managing costs — Honest and reliable — Detail-oriented and organized — Utilizes an inspirational, “hands on” coaching approach — Strong communication and leadership skills — Energetic and self-starting with a “Guest First” focus — Professional appearance and demeanor

Salary: $56K DOE

$3000 Signing bonus after 6 Months.
