They will work closely with other key partners across the dev team and champion global initiatives into their organizations leveraging change management techniques and clear communications.

They will also be responsible to develop operational workflows, create reporting mechanisms, streamline internal processes, drive operational efficiencies and provide executive level program updates.

Reporting to the head of the unit, they will operate as a right hand, participate in decisions, drive strategic cross-group/org projects, and ultimately continue to strive for improvement.A successful candidate will be a senior level individual contributor that excels at influencing without authority, dealing with ambiguity, is capable of operating at all levels, and is able to understand technical details quickly.

They will possess a strong attention to detail, a reputation as someone who focuses on the customer, brings simplified solutions to complex problems and does what they say they will do.

They must be comfortable operating in a fluid, agile, and team-oriented environment, bringing order to chaos.Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):Align and operate scaled planning (strategy and release) frameworks, in collaboration with the product master cycle, to give the leadership team a way to align on strategy, prioritize work, identify and track dependencies and manage accountabilities.Assist with increasing executive insight on the products and services by establishing related metrics to track engineering market progress toward the realization of the mission and strategy.Channel incoming inquiries and requests by internal or external stakeholders to appropriate resolution.Coordinate closely with internal and external stakeholders to proactively identify, track, report, escalate and driving to resolve incoming issues.Document and tracking progress against launch milestones, highlighting blockers, risks & creating mitigation plans.Own and execute the processes for weekly/monthly reporting.Gather new data, link disparate forms of data, and/or creatively use existing data to propose metrics and regularly present them in a compelling way.Create reporting mechanisms and dashboards for quick access to internal metrics.Execute new initiatives & document best practices for existing processes, standardize approaches, and always absorb new ideas to keep improving.Be able to suggest and drive process improvements, metrics to improve the overall team performance and efficiency.Scale existing programs by defining and creating processes that meet growing demand.Partner with the leadership to identify, maintain and present insightful periodic summaries of key financial and operational metrics for the executive team to drive timely decision making.Organize and co-lead weekly Leadership Team meetings, tracking actions, ensuring timely representation of business rhythm related tasks (e.g.: people/talent etc.) in meeting cycles and the leadership agenda is enabled via tight and effective sessions.Ensure the effectiveness of the senior leadership (staff) team by facilitating leadership meetings.Partner with Leadership to drive critical initiatives be they product, people or process oriented to continuously improve the unit and what it means to work here.Collaborate with Product Operations on key commitments and accountabilities, and act as a liaison between the central teams and independent development areas.Independently manage high stakes cross-functional initiatives and projects as required by the leadership team.Establish an inclusive, collaborative, creative & agile team culture.Drive agile and lean methodologies across the company focusing on delivering the highest customer value and best quality softwareDeliver strategic metrics and scorecards providing transparency and accountability into the organization’s health.Coordinate with Finance and manage the financial budget of the unit to ensure we stay on target.Additional Responsibilities:Recruitment: Tableau hires company builders; employees are expected to be on the constant lookout for the best talent to bring onboard, helping Tableau continue to build one of the best companies in the world.Other duties as assigned.Knowledge and Skills Requirements:Cross-group coordination across a wide range of management levels and functional disciplines.Proven ability to drive large change initiatives leveraging change management techniques.Ability to influence key decision makers outside the direct management chain as well as strong interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills in order to drive organizational alignment and efficiency.Well-honed written, verbal and creative communication skills, including ability to translate insight into content, create slide or written presentations, and create overall communication plans.Results-oriented, self-motivated, and self-directed
