Manager GIS Business Applications Reston US We are looking for a motivated Senior Manager to lead the Business Applications team. The position is assigned to our Business Application organization and part of Software AGs Global Information Services department. You will manage an experienced, international team, responsible for development, support, and maintenance of key business applications in our application portfolio, like OpenAir, License Key Server and other legacy systems. As a Senior Manager of the GIS Business Application team you will plan and drive modernization and migration of the existing landscape in your area of responsibility. Your Responsibilities * Plan and drive modernization and migration of existing landscape in your area of responsibility * Foster a stable and sustainable department setup while considering new talents, successor planning and deputy roles * Build and improve integrations with other business applications in Software AGs IT landscape * Act as a multiplier to enforce and refine the IT strategy together with the IT leadership team * Establish close business partnerships with internal stakeholders and align on a common agenda * Create transparency through processes, documentation and proper reporting or monitoring * Work in close collaboration with IT Security, Enterprise Architecture, and other central departments to ensure compliance and governance * Actively participate in the development and communication of our company and IT strategy Your Profile * University degree in Informatics or Business Administration * 8 Years+ experience in managing and supporting IT Applications * Proven track-record in project management of small to mid-size Application projects, such as implementations, integrations, upgrades, rollouts * Experience in managing international teams is an advantage * Broad knowledge in process and change management * Very good understanding of IT in general * Assertiveness and very strong communication skills * Fluent in English, German language skills are an advantage Culture We have an open-minded culture and many exciting projects where you have the freedom to ‘be your best you’.
