This is a Full-time position in Bremerton, WA posted July 4, 2021.

Kitsap Credit Union is growing and we are looking to add a motivated Senior Mortgage Loan Consultant to our team, who has mortgage lending experience.

You could be right for this role if you’re passionate about member service and lending.

If you have been a Loan Officer or Loan Officer’s Assistant you may excel in this role.

Our members will be looking to you, the expert in real estate lending, and you will also get to partner with our branches and assist with securing members loan business.

This role gets to work directly with our members over phone and email.

You’d be joining us in our beautiful corporate office located right next to the water in Bremerton, and there may be an opportunity to work from your home office after training.

Our mortgage department has grown exponentially since the start of the year, so this is a high-volume, fast-paced position where you’ll make a real impact on helping to achieve the Credit Union’s goals.

The good news is you will have a lot of support; the leadership in this department has extensive real estate knowledge so they will be able to help you grow your career in mortgage lending.

Starting off as Navy Yard Metal Trades Credit Union, we’ve undergone a few name changes and our commitment to serving the community has never changed.Some of What You Will DoManage third party vendor services and a pipeline of 50+ files monthlyInterview members, sell KCU lending, and review loan applications for accuracy and compliance, then walk members through the process start to finishReview Automated Underwriting system conditions ensuring that the loan meets eligibility and provide support to the Mortgage Loan Consultants with this processReview real estate loan applications, ensure information is accurate and meets product guidelines and risk profile, and interview members to ensure needs are metStructure conventional and special mortgage loan programsOrder and evaluate appraisals, title policies, credit reports, income and other verification documentsMeet Credit Union monthly funding goalsWhat You’ll BringHS Diploma or GED4 years of experience in the mortgage industry underwriting, structuring and documenting real estate secured loans, analyzing income, asset, credit and collateral documentationComprehensive knowledge of first mortgage real estate lending practices, including regulatory and compliance requirementsAbility to obtain NMLS within 30 daysSchedule: Availability Monday FridayGrade: 8Employment is contingent upon satisfactory credit, background, and reference checks.
