Concanon will coordinate services through BlueVoyant’s Modern SOC for Splunk® Cloud Platform, featuring 24/7 managed detection and response (MDR), and powered by BlueVoyant’s 24/7 cloud-based managed security operations center (SOC).The acquisition will enable Concanon to expand its services to Splunk customers to optimize its investment and accelerate migration to the Splunk Cloud Platform by leveraging BlueVoyant’s technology and expertise.
Customers will benefit from a turnkey offering that delivers security at scale and customized for them which can be monitored 24/7 by BlueVoyant’s fully remote Security Operations Center-as-a-Service (SOCaaS).Role:Are you passionate about technology innovation and working with new product ideas, both onsite with customers and inside product labs?
Our Observability team is a global-level group within Concanon that builds repeatable solutions for common scenarios across various industries.
You will be responsible for implementing APM solutions using Splunk Observability products based on customer requirements in this role.
You will work closely with Onshore and Offshore teams and customer subject matter experts to define and implement customer requirements.
In addition, you will be working directly with business users and technical users to drive engagement.
This role requires several interactions with the customer business and technical team to understand the customer business and technical challenges and constraints.
This person will help define the requirements and the customer (discovering the needs collaboratively), translate the requirements into solutions, and recommend the solution in an advisory role.
You operate as a researcher, developer, and subject matter expert, developing solutions using the full capabilities of the Splunk portfolio.This position will focus primarily on envisioning, building, and maintaining field-driven solutions for Observability, including Kubernetes, microservices, GCP, Azure, AWS, application performance monitoring (APM), OpenTelemetry, and more.
The trio of logs, traces, and metrics will be the center stage for this role.
Responsibilities:We are looking for an individual with demonstrated communication skills and an ability to execute on a deep technical level with IT professionals and fellow engineers.
You should operate inside organizations autonomously to create and implement beta and early release software and ensure proper feedback is gathered and communicated to Product Management for future enhancements.
This team is in regular motion, focusing and delivering on the highest value capabilities for our customers, delivered as quickly as possible with the highest quality.
You might, on any given day:Provide expert industry knowledge internally to our teams and partners on Observability-related products, processes, and technologies, including Kubernetes, Docker, Serverless, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, SaltStack), CI/CD, SRE, OpenTelemetry, and more.Write code to onboard or manipulate fascinating data sources or create a custom add-on, integration, or enhancement to products within our portfolio.Create applications to visualize data and tell a story that solves a common business problem.Integrate solutions and data from various sources to solve customer needs.Work with an external or internal partner to up level their app, integration, or technical add-on.With your hands on the keyboard, help a technical sales resource execute a specific portion of a particularly challenging evaluation.Contribute a blog post to our external blogsite detailing solutions you have built.Qualifications:Minimum five years of engineering and proven experience within application development or infrastructure monitoring space, preferably as a hands-on practitioner.
In addition, a track record of success and extensive knowledge of containerized environments, Infrastructure as Code, CI / CD, DevOps, and DevSecOps practices.
Deep experience with the following is required: Splunk and/or SignalFX/AppDynamics/NewRelic, recent hands-on experience integrating disparate solutions, and moderate to expert level Python, Javascript, Go, Node skill and web development.Up-to-date understanding of current trends in the Observability and DevOps / DevSecOps landscapes.Significant coding/engineering experience (Python and/or JavaScript preferred) and examples of code you can provide or descriptions of what you’ve written and what problem it solved.Familiarity with modern SDLC methodologies (version control using git, CI/CD pipelines, application security standard methodologies), ITOps, and Observability / DevOps practitioner a plus.Seasoned and experienced understanding of NIX and Windows Operating SystemsFamiliarity with cloud-native serverless architectures.Seasoned and experienced understanding of OpenTracing / OpenTelemetry functionality.Create a portfolio of public-facing materials: repositories, whitepapers, blogs, presentations, training materials that you have authored.Ability to communicate concisely and accurately with all stakeholdersAbility to work remotely, across multiple time zones, with minimal daily supervision.
