Production Supervisor

This position involves heading a team in the Motion business, ensuring continuous and efficient production operations in line with plans, procedures, and quality and safety standards and policies.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Unit Manager you will aid in the transformation of parts and raw materials into ABB products in a timely and cost-effective manner, managing resources to meet production targets.

Your responsibilities Must ensure team follows all Safety requirements including proper use of PPE.

Plan resources (material/ labor) to meet production schedule to defined KPI (short term and long term), this requires the review of the production schedule for mix concerns, labor plan absences, equipment plan/unplanned downtime.

Identifying and recommending technical equipment and facility improvements.

Guiding, motivating, and developing less experienced team members to reach their potential.

Must be willing and able to work any shift and weekends, as needed.

Must work with peer Supervisors to ensure total plant success daily.

Your background Associate degree and minimum 6 years of manufacturing supervisor experience OR Bachelor’s degree and minimum 4 years of manufacturing supervisor experience.

Ability to apply Lean manufacturing principles preferred.

Proficiency in the use of the (Microsoft, Kronos, reading prints, SAP / Shop Floor Display, or equivalent preferred.

Candidates must already have a work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in United States.
