Production Supervisor

Job Preview:Oversee the production line and material management for standard probe products. Manage production and material acquisition activities to ensure schedule, quality standards, and cost objectives are met. Manage employees by establishing performance goals, allocating resources, and assessing performance. This role will also, oversee a sub-assembly contract manufacturer.What You’ll Do at Zetec:* Manage resources to meet productivity and quality goals.* Track and report the established metrics monthly or upon request.* Set and communicate daily priorities to production Leads.* Direct resources within the department to ensure all products are assembled and shipped to meet committed delivery dates and quality requirements.* Ensure material readiness for build schedules by managing a working with planning, warehouse, and machine shop to set priorities as required.* Create and manage shop order and material handling activities for production.* Create, manage, and run contract manufacturer meetings to ensure quality parts supporting our manufacturing schedule.* Ensure the correct parts and sub-assemblies are procured from our contract manufacture to support forecasted orders and maximize inventory turns.* Manage resource capacity planning. Continually review the workload and capacity of the department by product mix and provide recommendations involving personnel needs and overtime planning.* Identify, manage, and implement lean improvements targeting hard and soft savings, quality, and throughput improvements. Facilitate work with the Manufacturing Engineering team.* Actively manage and report all potential safety issues.* Responsible for maintaining active training plan that incorporates the use of qualified trainers, forecasted skills capacity needed, personnel reviews, and established best practices including education in methods, tools, and processes.* Facilitate effective communication and teamwork among Leads and assemblers.* Complete performance reviews and propose merit ratings of assemblers and Leads.* Assist other team members in response to customer inquiries, complaints, material issues, planning, scheduling, etc.* Authorize timecards for direct reports; approve personnel time off in accordance with production schedule.* Audit calibration and chemical expiration dates to ensure compliance.What You’ll Bring With You to Zetec:* Minimum five (5) years’ experience in manufacturing/production.* Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes.* Electrical-mechanical experience required.* Proficiency in the manufacturing modules of an ERP system.* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring drawings.* Intermediate PC and Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.* Demonstrated leadership skills.* Demonstrated effective communication skills; written, oral and interpersonal.* Ability to multi-task, work independently and employ effective time management skills.* Demonstrated negotiation and/or facilitation ability.* Ability to effectively interface cross-functionally and with management staff.* Good problem-solving skills.* Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.It’s A Big Plus If You Have:* Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, production processes, business, or other related field (or related work experience).* Minimum two (2) years’ supervisory/management experience.* Knowledge and understanding of planning processes.* Knowledge and understanding of material handling processes.* Technical knowledge of Eddy Current Technology (ECT).WHY ZETEC:* The city of Snoqualmie is not actually that far off the beaten path; it ends up being a reverse commute from most points in the Puget Sound and is easily accessible just off of I-90/Hwy-18.
