Project Coordinator Scientist/Geologist/Engineer

We are committed to solving the world’s biggest challenges in the areas of water, energy and urbanization.  GHD is looking for an experienced Project Coordinator.  As an Environmental Professional, you will have the opportunity to perform project coordination and reporting tasks for petroleum hydrocarbon site assessment and remediation projects. This position is an integral part of our contamination, assessment, and remediation (CAR) business group and requires a diverse array of responsibilities. Primary responsibilities include supporting project managers with the following activities: Performing field and project coordination and management for downstream major oil company retail fuel and terminal projects Proficient at budget preparation, work plan development, permitting, scheduling work, managing scope of work, conducting field work, and report writing Monitoring well installation and design, groundwater, soil and soil gas/air sampling Experience sampling and logging soil in addition to exploratory drilling oversight Experience preparing work plans and reports in accordance with MTCA and Ecology/PLIA purview Commitment to safety utilizing a behavior-based safety (BBS) culture in all aspects of the job Participates in business development activities In the field approximately 20 to 30% of the time.  Field work is local to Western and Central WA Qualifications: BS in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering or related degree 5 years of experience in related field Well versed in environmental geology/engineering as well as environmental regulations and procedures Detail oriented with the ability to balance a diverse and changing workload Strong technical understanding of monitoring well installation and design, site conceptual model development, and corrective action planning Previous Oil & Gas knowledge and experience OSHA 40 Hour/8-Hour refresher HAZWOPER trained Proficient in Microsoft Suite Ability to travel for project work Why GHD?
