Senior Director, Product Management – RP1020456

The Senior Director, Product Management for ADC in the F5 NGINX Product Group (PG) is responsible for crafting and executing on a vision and strategy for winning in the modern application delivery space.

This leader works independently to ensure the organization is aligned to do all the things needed to deliver our solutions to customers. This leader heads up a team of Product Managers and collaborates with peers such as UX and Engineering leaders to prioritize and drive progress on the roadmap.

This leader also works closely with Marketing to ensure products are properly positioned, Sales to ensure theyre properly presented, and Alliances to ensure they play well in the modern ecosystem.

This leader also works with others across F5 to ensure priorities, plans, and requirements are clear and aligned with those of F5 overall. Primary Responsibilities:Own the vision and strategy for winning in the modern application delivery marketWork with PM leadership to define how success supports our portfolio goalsBe the subject matter expert ensuring the vision and strategy is clear, documented, and well-communicatedEngage with customers and internal leaders to develop strategy and gather business requirementsOwn key customer relationships and regularly present vision and roadmap while soliciting and incorporating feedbackWork with senior internal stakeholders to plan and align against corporate goalsEnsure strong alignment of plans and priorities with Engineering, Marketing, and othersEnsure Engineering is aligned with priorities, up to date, and executing well on both near term roadmap and long-term visionEnsure Marketing is aligned with priorities and is properly enabled for successful launchesLeverage these and other teams to ensure whole products are delivered on time through the entire F5 organizationProactively identify and solve cross-functional issues that add risk to our plansBuild and mentor a team responsible for winning in the application delivery spaceEstablish clear goals and drive the development of team membersReinforce a culture of accountability and can-do attitude Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated understanding of how Enterprise apps and application delivery operates, understanding the various stakeholders involved and what makes them succeed or fail.Excellent leadership, negotiation & persuasion skills with demonstrable experience leading Product Management teamsStrong problem solving and analysis skills, with ability to surface insights from data and present findings clearly and crediblyStrong customer orientation with the ability to listen, organize and champion their feedback into the organizationStrong written and oral communication skills, with ability to articulate complex business concepts clearlyFlexible, self-motivated, team playerDuties may require the ability to travel approximately 20% of the time. Qualifications:Typically requires a minimum of 6+ years of related experience with a bachelors degree; or 4 years and a masters degree or higher.3+ years working in a senior product management role within a large organization is a plus The Job Description is intended to be a general representation of the responsibilities and requirements of the job.
