Senior Manager, Global Training Services

This is a Full-time position in Seattle, WA posted March 6, 2021.

Set employee goals and objectives.Coach and develop staff to maximize potential.Monitor staff performance, including performance reviews.Review performance data.Allocate and distribute work load.Drive collaboration, communication and consistency across services.Champion a functional group or discipline.Continually seek improvement in procedures and services.Drive strategy implementation by aligning teams projects.Dedicate self to the success of Expeditors using ethical business practices, personal commitment, and a focus on the fundamental details involved.Drive strategy implementation by aligning teams projects.Drive the development of core leadership and middle management skills globally by managing and evolving Expeditors Supervisor and Leadership Platform training programs.Deliver leadership and management training courses to include topics on employee development, supervisory skills, leadership and coaching skillsSupervise the execution of a healthy branch training program at CHQ to include:New hire onboarding trainingMonthly calendar of trainer-led industry, customer service and soft-skills trainingCertification and coordination of CHQ instructorsCommunication, reporting and follow-up of required trainingCommunication of training & personnel development initiativesMaintain and continually improve Training & Personnel Developments intranet site.Provide the field with relevant content (intranet articles, flyers, etc.) about the employee development cycle, including selection, onboarding, training, development and growth.Provide strategic marketing material for the Training & Personnel Development department.Assist co-workers with creating visual content and applying visual design principles.Assist Latin America region with course pilotsAssist with global personnel development initiatives as appropriate.Ensure the Training Services Team provides exceptional customer service for all support functions including: Education reimbursement; IATA global certification management; OTS Awards; excellence awards and elogos; and Supervisor and Leadership Programs for books, certificates, 360 reviews, and blog access.Be open to implementing new system changes and enhancements into your team and region; set the tone of this environment within your team.Ensure team has proper systems/processes to allow productive work.Assist regions with use of Expeditors performance and learning management system (Saba)Provide leadership and expertise on use of virtual training delivery platformsMINIMUM Education Requirement and Experience Requirement: Bachelors degree in International Business or related field of study AND Two (2) yearsALTERNATE Education and Experience Requirement: NoneALTERNATE Occupation(s) Acceptable to Meet Experience Requirement: Job offered or related occupation.Special Skills: Applicants must have demonstrated experience with:Global logistics industryLearning and development industryManaging teams of employees in roles of Training Program Manager, Trainer, Communications Support and Training Support;Delivering both in-person and virtual training courses (from one hour to 16 hours) using facilitation skills while meeting the objectives of the course;Delivering management skills training including: employee assessments, providing feedback, coaching and leadership;Delivering Incoterms trainings to customers;Certifying trainers on delivery of courses to include coaching and validation of facilitation skills and meeting of course objectives in both the US and Latin America;Coordinating and reporting on pilot process for new courses, gathering information and feedback from Latin American stakeholders;Creating course content following the ADDIE model and following the principles of criterion-referenced instruction and adult learning principles;Using MS Office applications including Visio, PowerPoint, One Note, MS Excel, and SharePoint;Data analysis, including identifying problems to be solved, using MS Excel functions and providing visual reporting;Creating flyers, newsletters, infographics, job aids and intranet content regarding employee development concepts and using visual design principles;Creating and designing presentations upholding brand guidelines and design principles;Conceptualizing and creating strategic marketing and communication solutions that promote training and personnel development initiatives;Virtual training platforms including Skype for Business and Zoom;Saba Learning and Performance Management System;Building and managing relationships with vendors that supply products and services such as printing, awards, external training and digital resourcesManaging a tactical business plan;Communicating with all levels of employees, including senior executives in both the US and Latin America in the global logistics industry
