Site Reliability Engineering Manager

You must have experience with Apache Airflow.

The team for this role is in Seattle.

If you are already located in one of our hubs (Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, or Los Angeles), you can work from that location.

However, if you are located elsewhere, you must be open to relocating to Seattle or one of our hubs once employees return to the office.

Site reliability engineering is a way to bridge the gap between developers and IT operations, even in a DevOps culture.

Site reliability engineers will be dedicated full-time to creating software that improves the reliability of systems in production, fixing issues, responding to incidents and usually taking on-call responsibilities.

SRE ensures that our internally critical and our externally-visible systems-have reliability, uptime appropriate to users’ needs and a fast rate of improvement.

Additionally, SRE keeps an ever-watchful eye on our systems capacity and performance.

On the SRE team, you’ll have the opportunity to manage the culture of diversity, intellectual curiosity, scheduling and problem-solving.

You will also have the opportunity to manage the complex challenges of scale, while using your expertise in coding, algorithms, complexity analysis and large-scale system design.

Assist in enhancing department vision and strategies to support company goals and receive guidance from more senior leaders Create training opportunities for team to learn the latest technologies and methodologies Ensure team has the tools, resources, and information they need to be successful Kubernetes at an enterprise level Hire capable and motivated talent/teams that can deliver swiftly and predictably, adjusting in an agile fashion to deliver solutions aligned with business needs Contribute to architecture, coding, test plans, project plans, deployment planning and operations to drive excellence and lead team towards its goals Employ continuous improvement methodologies across own team (e.g.

quantifies impacts customer first, waste elimination, increased productivity, iterates quickly, shorten feedback loop, experience creating relevant KPIs

You own this if you have…
10+ years of relevant work experience A BA/BS in Computer Science or closely related degree or equivalent practical experience 2+ years leading teams (preferred)
