The Site Supervisor will support the Early Learning Associate Director, as needed, for budgeting, policy development, and any needed corrective action due to licensing reviews.

A high level of attention will need to be had by Site Supervisor in order to ensure the Center meets all minimum licensing standards for a Licensed Child Care Center in Washington, Early Achievers requirements to attain and maintain a standard of excellence and implement early learning best practices.Responsibilities:Develop appropriate staffing and professional development for the CenterInterview and recommend for hire lead teachers, classroom assistants, substitutes, and food services staff who meet and exceed state licensing standardsProvide comprehensive orientation for all new staff and volunteersEnsure all staff obtains the required professional development STARS hours required and develop an individualized professional development planEstablish staffing schedule for each classroom and ensure substitutes are arranged as needed in cooperation with lead teacherApprove time off requests and time cards for payrollSupervise lead teachers, administrative assistant and other designated positionProvide ongoing individual coaching and supervision to lead teacherComplete introductory and annual evaluations for designated staff.Work cooperatively with the Early Learning Content Specialist to oversee the educational curriculum for the Center to ensure it meets the developmental needs of the childrenEnsure each classroom has the appropriate schedule and activities posted.Ensure training and implementation of Creative Curriculum for each classroom.Ensure the Center environment and activities meet CLASS and ERS best practices.Provide orientation and communication to parentsWork with Associate Director to ensure parent handbook is updated and reflects current practice and licensing guidelines, and other program or contractual standardsProvide on-site tours and orientation to new parentsCommunicate with parents via newsletters, parent-teacher conferences, and other venuesAccept calls inquiring about the Center and services offeredSupport Early Learning Associate Director with facilitating an advisory committee which includes representation from the Advisory Board and parents.Work closely with the Associate Director to ensure compliance with center operations and policies:Maintain Center policies, personnel records, health policies, and other criteria required for Licensure as a child care and Early Achievers facilityOversee the waiting list and maintain classroom enrollment at maximum capacity when possibleEnsure the Center facilities are in good repair and arrange for maintenanceMaintain communication with the Facilities Manager to keep the Center well maintainedWork with the Early Learning Associate Director to develop corrective actions plans for any licensing deficiencies.Assist the Associate Director in the development and monitoring of the Center budget:Review monthly budget and expenditure reportsSupport Associate Director to complete applications for United Way and other funding sourcesCoordinate with the parent advisory committee and Development Director for any fundraising events or activitiesWork cooperative with the Youth and Young Adult Services Program to oversee Carrolls Coffee and training of volunteers.Participate in community and agency early learning committees as designated by the Associate Director such as:Attend Center Directors meetingsAlign services and training with other early childhood programs within the agency.Support Associate Director to facilitate innovative development of early learning services in the Center through ECEAP or Head Start partnerships, Early Achievers rating system, professional training, or other early learning opportunities.Implement all required ECEAP policies, procedures and program changes required, including Parent Policy Council, Health Advisory Committee, Family Support Services and consultants.Continue to implement movement toward a higher Early Achievers rating for the CenterPerform other duties as assignedJob Requirements: The following requirements are those that are normally required for performance of this position.

in Early Childhood Education required, Masters preferredExperienceFive years child care experience with young children in an Early Learning settingThree years of administrative and supervisory experience as a Center Director or similar environmentExperience with ECEAP or Head Start preferred.Special SkillsDemonstrate knowledge of child development to implement a program that is developmentally appropriate for the ages of the children servedDemonstrated knowledge of and implementation for CLASS, ERS, and Early Achievers requirementsAbility to maintain positive relationships with staff, children, parents and the communityKnowledge of research and current developments in early childhood educationAbility to successfully manage the operation and budgeting of an early learning child care centerKnowledge of WAC for child care centersDemonstrated knowledge of ECEAP performance standards.Licensure, Registration, CertificationValid Washington State drivers license and agency required liability insuranceEmployment is conditional upon:Being cleared by criminal background check and fingerprinting when requiredQualifications
