IT Project Managernn nnSeattle, WAnn nnContract 12 Months +nn nn nn nnThere are three projects where this one experienced Sr Project Manager will split their time:nn nn1.

Enhancement to current Commitment and Contingency Management system developed inhouse.nn nn2.

Oversight and organization of IT Resources on an aggressively time lined Finance project already in execution.

This requires catch-up work on the project documentation and relieving the business analyst of PM duties.nn nn3.

RFP preparation and qualification with the business partner related to intranet replacementnn nn nn nnProject management responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope.

Oversee all aspects of projects.

Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of project.

Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project.nn nnThe successful candidate will work directly with clients to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget.

He or she will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible and will hire new talent as needed to fulfill client needs.nn nnEssential Functions:nn nn
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projectsnn nn
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budgetnn nn
• Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibilitynn nn
• Ensure resource availability and allocationnn nn
• Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progressnn nn
• Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniquesnn nn
• Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniquesnn nn
• Report and escalate to management as needednn nn
• Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholdersnn nn
• Perform risk management to minimize project risksnn nn nn nnMinimum Qualifications:nn nnEducation & Experience:nn nnBachelor’s or Master’s Degree in computer science, information technology, business management, information systems, or closely related field and eight years of experience in information technology project delivery or project management; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.nn nnRequired Licenses or Certifications:nn nnProject Management Professional (PMP)nn nnRequired Knowledge of:nn nn
• Project and operational management of a complex technology program.nn nn
• Principals and applications of critical thinking and analysis.nn nn
• Identifying and managing resource requirements to meet schedules and objectives.nn nn
• Actively leads risk mitigation and management.

Leads problem resolution as issues arise.nn nn
• Procurement, inventory and asset management of IT services and equipment.nn nn
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) and proven ability to work effectively at all organizational levels.nn nn
• Demonstrated ability to influence and develop productive working relationships with resources and dependent teamsnn nn
• Basic principles and practices of governmental budget preparation and administration.nn nnRequired Skill in:nn nn
• Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with cross functional teams, vendors, outside agencies, community groups and the general public.nn nn
• Interpreting and administering policies and procedures sufficient to administer, discuss, resolve, and explain them to staff and other constituencies.nn nn
• Analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, projecting consequences of proposed actions and implementing recommendations in support of goals.nn nn
• Researching, analyzing and evaluating new service delivery methods.nn nn
• A strong background in IT infrastructure, technology deployment or computer science.

Accountable for delivering business results on corporate initiatives.nn nn
• Translates project/program requirements into project objectives and tasks, managing task assignment to project resources and reporting on and managing project scope throughout the lifecycle.nn nn
• Drives, tracks / reports progress of multiple projects.nn nn
• Analyzing procedures and data to develop logical solutions to complex systems problems.nn nn
• Managing large, complex projects and making decisions in fast-paced environments.nn nn
• Preparing and analyzing complex data and comprehensive reports.nn nn
• Responding to inquiries and in effective oral and written communication.nn nn
• Working cooperatively with engineering, other departments, Agency officials, and outside agencies.nn nn
• Developing and monitoring project operating budgets, costs, and schedules.nn nn
• At least 5 years of experience in technical project management, plus experience managing complex and large-scale technology projects.nn nn
• Generates alternatives & improves creative solutions.nn nn
