 Principal Program Manager, Global Release Management Do you want a highly impactful role within a team that services millions of travelers across the globe every year?

Where we are building a powerful set of capabilities tailored to Travel eCommerce, enabling thousands of travel businesses around the world through our APIs/SDKs.

We are looking for a Program Manager to establish a new roadmap execution playbook, leading product releases that are large in scope and impact to customers and Expedia Group.

They will partner closely with product development strategy to launch the right solutions for our customers, enabling optimal investment decisions for upstream and downstream execution teams.

They gain partner alignment and implement mechanisms that raise the release readiness bar for all eCommerce products globally.

They independently develop roadmaps, project plans, risks and dependency logs, releases planning calendars, status updates, and post-mortems across the enterprise for multiple domains and portfolios.

They build simplified processes, promote global standardization, remove internal process bottlenecks, and drive efficiency gains.

While Product Managers drive product vision and technical requirements, this position provides cross-product business understanding of releases impact and success by evaluating performance and deriving data insights.

They drive shared goals and gain investments prioritization alignment.

Lastly, they are excellent at driving results, able to coordinate large, multi-functional projects timely, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make trade-offs, and balance business needs versus technical constraints.

They are involved in reviewing product workflow design and balance near term business need with longer term implications for Expedia Group.

They rationalize business and technical priorities with teams, effectively managing communication to ensure needs are aligned.

Our ideal candidate will have successfully led multiple, major, worldwide, technology-focused programs, have hands-on experience in introducing new playbooks and governance mechanisms, and be passionate about technical agility and release management.

They will have high standards for themselves and everyone they work with.

This role requires a strong ability to find creative solutions to meaningful problems, superior communication skills, ability to easily navigate ambiguity and define a path forward.

What you’ll do: * Develop cross-organizational playbooks.

Drive governance mechanisms that instill the right rhythm for the business * Be responsible for the overall product roadmap communication, status reporting, and transparency into prioritization and tradeoffs * Create alignment on the roadmap, engaging with global stakeholders
– both internally and with key external partners
– to understand priorities and drive cross-team initiatives * Drive product releases from ideation to development to launch, establishing business processes and policies as well as metrics and indicators for success * Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals Who you are: * 10+ years of experience in program or project management, delivering cross functional projects * Experience owning program strategy and end to end technical product delivery * Experience managing, analyzing and presenting results to senior management * Experience in strategy, change management, release management and rolling-out large scale initiatives * Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements and develop project business cases * Ability to lead and work effectively with cross functional groups * Ability to work autonomously in a highly fast paced often ambiguous environment, to think and move quickly, and handle difficult tradeoffs to achieve goals * Proven track-record for taking ownership, partnering to deliver results and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves * Superior communications skills (verbal and written) and collaboration skills that enable you to earn trust at all levels, including senior leadership * MBA or Master’s Degree or any other related fields; or equivalent related professional experience * Experience in driving Software Development Kits (SDKs) release management in a B2B environment About Expedia Group Expedia Group (NASDAQ: EXPE) powers travel for everyone, everywhere through our global platform.
