Join one of the fastest growing groups at Moss Adams and start realizing your potential.Individuals who thrive at Moss Adams exhibit the following success skills – Collaboration, Critical Thinking, Emotional Intelligence, Executive Presence, Growth Mindset, Intellectual Curiosity, and Results Focus.**Responsibilies:**+ Research on legal and regulatory matters affecting clients+ Drafting responses to Administrative inquiries on behalf of clients+ Participating in meetings with clients and government officials on behalf of clients+ Assist in resolving matters at the State or Local level impacting clients+ Assist in Administrative Dispute process including Audits, Protests, Settlements, and Appeals or other similar administrative dispute resolution process+ Participate in continuing education and outreach+ Keep up to date on state and local tax law changes+ Participate in business development activities and grow revenue+ Participate in thought leadership activities including articles, webcasts, and other professional education+ Develop internal relationships within the firm and help grow external branding**Qualifications:**+ Bachelor’s degree required; emphasis in accounting, finance or related field preferred; Master’s Degree in taxation or JD/LLM preferred+ CPA and/or licensed attorney required.+ Minimum of 7 years of related tax experience required; public accounting experience or law firm experience preferred+ Previous experience performing tax research and providing technical advice on state and local tax issues required+ Previous experience working with California state or local tax authorities strongly preferred+ Previous experience working with other state or local tax authorities preferred+ Understanding of litigation procedures preferred+ Federal tax background preferred+ Employment tax background preferred+ Experience in state and local government revenue department preferred+ Experience training and supervising Staff, Seniors, and Managers+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills+ Must be a highly motivated self-starter and have experience in managing multiple simultaneous client engagements+ Able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently+ Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)+ Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%Here, you’ll be challenged and rewarded for leadership, technical excellence, and inspired perspectives.
